We, Executive Search Worldwide are inquest of suitable candidates for GM Operations for one of our clients.  
Position Title: GM Operations  
Position Based In: Karachi - Pakistan  
Employer / Client’s Detail: Leading Oil & Gas Company    
Gender: Male 
Education: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E), Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering, preferably with post graduate qualifications in Business Management   
Experience: A proven Engineering Management professional with 25 years Engineering operations experience including at least 15 years as head of operations of a large, complex refinery and pipeline systems. 
 
Age Limit: Not exceeding 55 years 
Job Descriptions / Responsibilities: 
- Managing the Company’s diversified petroleum operations across Pakistan. 
 
- Organize and lead a large team of highly qualified engineers, technologists and professionals of diverse specializations and backgrounds. 
 
- Plan and implement business, technical and production strategies aimed at maximizing efficiency and financial returns. 
 
- Ensure safe and environment friendly operations at maximum capacity with minimum downtime in accordance with the best international petroleum refining, pipeline operation and HSE standards. 
 
- Ensure proper maintenance of all assets, plants, equipment, utilities and infrastructure at all locations. Plan and manage turn around, supervise expansion and engineering projects achieving quality standards as well as optimizing costs. 
 
- Interact and negotiate with plant and technology suppliers, contractors, consultants, financial institutions, vendors, service providers.
 
- Sound knowledge of petroleum refining processes, operational and efficiency standards, maintenance requirements including production modes, capacities, process condition control, plant startup and shutdown, etc. 
 
- Refinery Economics including Crude/Feed stocks yield, margins, product/component economics, refinery constraints, cost of specifications, quality, production and cost optimization, blending of qualities, margin estimations, etc. 
 
- Project Management including scope definition, cost and benefit evaluation, contracting and procurement, project planning and implementation, commissioning, etc.
