Education:FCPS or equivalent in respective disciplines with at-least 3 to 5 years related Experience (as accepted by the PMDC)

Experience:Minimum 5 to 8 years experience.

Job Descriptions / Responsibilities:

• Responsible for patients referred to the Critical Care unit for investigation and treatment.
• Responsible for the appropriate management of these patients, within either the hospital or advising referring practitioners on appropriate care.
• Participates in the Consultant Critical Care on-call rota.
• Responsible for the provision of anaesthetic services, including pre and post-operative care for patients.
• May be required to consult in various areas of the hospital outside the Critical Care unit and Operating Departments.
• Is expected to work as part of the consultant team within Critical Care and Anaesthesia.
• Undertakes the administrative duties associated with the care of his/her patients and in the running of the clinical departments.
• Actively participates in the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate students, including Nursing and Professions Allied to Medicine.
