Education:Intermediate or above with certified training course in diabetes Education.

Experience:5 to 6 years work related experience.

• Responsible for providing basic information about diabetes, misconceptions etc. to each new patient.
• Emphasizing the importance of nutrition and exercise and creating an individualized exercise plan.
• Insulinization- Teaching the correct method of using insulin, injecting techniques, addressing the stigma.
• Responsible for extra counseling of any patient with further difficulties with their condition.
• Responsible for preparing and holding group educational sessions.
• Attend refresher trainings and learn to use conversation maps (if not already familiar).
• Responsible for following up with stable patients to provide refresher sessions.
• Should be available in shifts to answer any calls and advice patients with emergencies out of clinic hours.
• Responsible for scheduling emergency appointments.
