Education:Bachelor's Degree. Junior College/Technical School and Certification in Infection Control.
Experience:1 to 5 years of position-related experience.
Job Descriptions / Responsibilities:
- Ensure implementation of infection control standards that improves patient outcome by
reducing risk of no ocomial infections.
- Develop eff cti e communication of infection control information from patient care areas and
feedback of anal) zed information.
- Proce e knowl dge of patient care practice, Infection Control practice, clinical a essrnent,
ri k management.
- Identifies infection control i sues in relation to patient care, product evaluation ri k
management.
- Interacts effectively with multi-di ciplinary team on behalf of patient care and patient/visitor
education.
- Participates and develops educational programs.
- Participates \ illingly in all aspe t of Infection Control program and projects.
- Member-hip n lnf ction Control and Theatre Users Committee and participates on others
as neccesary.
- lnteracts eff ctively with all level of the health care profes ionals and en ures feedback of reports, data and other re ource material.
- Provide approachable and available consultation and is on call.
- Demon trate eff cti e communication.
- Understand staff d velopment concepts and educational technique.
- Demonstrates flexibility and inno ative approach to work relationships.
